To augment the classroom training process, State Bank of India is developing and deploying customised e-Learning Lessons for teaching its geographically dispersed staff about its business processes, general business & IT skills etc. The Bank has already implemented Intranet/Internet based e-Learning System.

The Challenge
Training a wide spectrum of sales employees with diverse learning needs.
Courses were not supported on mobile devices, making it difficult for employees to access training on the go.
Our Solutions
Designed and Developed SCORM/AICC compliant e-Learning Lessons, e-Capsules, mobile nuggets in HTML 5 format, compatible with screen reading software ( e.g. JAWS, etc., ) based on the content provided by the Bank. The e-Lessons, e-capsules, m-nuggets developed are platform compatible (i.e. Android, Windows, iOS etc.,) and also compatible with major browsers.
The Lessons, capsules, nuggets were on various topics related to Banking, Management, Technology, Soft skills, HR and Marketing of Banking products etc.
Game-based learning approach within a classroom setting was adopted.
It helped to address the customized learning needs of the intended audiences.
Mini games and Quizzes enhanced the overall employee participation and workplace efficiency. The corporate instructional design strategy includes following elements:

The Courses and nuggets were ported to the SBI- Gyanodaya e learning portal which was made available to more than 2,40,000 employees to login and learn the courses.
The e-courses greatly reduced the burden on the SBI training academies spread across India responsible to plan and manage mandatory classroom courses to all it employees
Excellent instructional design strategies for a clear and concise Learning and Development Program ensured a seamless experience and knowledge assimilation on a online platform
